Sophie Alisch becomes first female boxing signing at Summit Sports

Sophie Alisch, the undefeated German featherweight contender, has recently become a member of the boxing roster at Summit Sports.

In the previous month, the multi-sport and gaming management agency appointed Adam Smith, who previously served as the head of boxing at Sky Sports, as their Director of Boxing Talent. Alisch, expressing her excitement, referred to Smith’s mentorship as the perfect addition to today’s announcement.

In February 2016, the 2020 Olympian embarked on her professional journey, achieving an impressive record of nine victories without a single defeat. The talented 22-year-old, promoted by Wasserman Boxing, expressed her excitement in collaborating with Summit Sports.

Being a part of Summit Sports is a significant achievement in my career, and I am thrilled about the prospects that lie ahead. The opportunity to work alongside exceptional professionals in a dynamic environment is truly exciting.

I am filled with immense excitement and gratitude as I embark on this journey with a team of highly skilled individuals who will propel my career to new heights. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who have shown their unwavering support. Cheers to the thrilling path ahead as we strive to reach the pinnacle of success with Summit Sports.

As of now, Alisch holds the eighth position with the WBO, the tenth position with the WBC, and the fifth position with the EBU in the global rankings. On the upcoming Saturday night, April 6, the vacant WBC Female featherweight title fight will take place in Las Vegas. The contenders for this title are Skye Nicolson, an Australian residing in Britain, and Sarah Mahfoud from Denmark.

Adam Smith expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with an exceptional young fighter on the rise, stating, “We, at Summit Sports, are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with one of the most talented emerging fighters globally.”

Not only is Sophie our first female boxing signing, which is already remarkable, but she also possesses qualities that make her truly exceptional. Her intelligence, dedication, well-roundedness, and strong family values fill me with immense confidence that we can truly make a significant impact on both her sporting career and personal life.
