Sparks vs Storm Prediction & Picks (6/11): Will Seattle Get Back on Track at Home?

After the conclusion of a winning streak, a new opportunity arises to start another one, and tonight the Seattle Storm will be aiming to achieve just that as they welcome the Los Angeles Sparks for a late WNBA tip-off (10:00 pm ET, WNBA League Pass).

The Minnesota Lynx put an end to the Storm’s impressive six-game winning streak on Sunday. Led by Kayla McBride’s exceptional shooting skills and solid defense, the Lynx secured a convincing 83-64 victory at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Seattle (7-4) is expected to dominate tonight’s game at Climate Pledge Arena against the Los Angeles team (4-7). The visitors from Los Angeles arrive in the Emerald City after securing victories at home against the Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces.

In tonight’s game, Seattle’s Nneka Ogwumike will face off against the Sparks for the very first time. Ogwumike had a remarkable 12-year stint with the Sparks, where she played a pivotal role in securing their most recent championship title in 2016.

Los Angeles Sparks vs Seattle Storm Betting Analysis

Despite the early struggles faced by both the 5-4 Aces, led by Chelsea Gray, and the 3-7 Wings, led by Satou Sabally, due to the absence of injured stars, the significance of the Sparks’ victories remains unaffected.

The victories over Dallas and Las Vegas have proven to be significant for the growth of rookies Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson. Brink showcased her skills by achieving her first double-double in the WNBA against the Wings, with 10 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals. Additionally, she contributed eight points, six boards, and five blocks against the Aces. On the other hand, Jackson contributed eight points against the Wings and impressively matched her season highs with 16 points and five rebounds against the Aces.

However, the question remains whether this success will continue when the Sparks are on the road. So far, they have only managed to secure one victory out of four attempts away from home, which was an 88-82 triumph against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on May 28th.

In order to potentially alter this trend, they will need to tighten their defense during upcoming road games. Their current average of points allowed per game on the road stands at 85.3, with every game resulting in at least 80 points surrendered in regulation time.

Their chances tonight are not looking good. Whenever the Storm have scored 80+ points in regulation this season, they have a flawless record of 5 wins and 0 losses, with three of those wins being by a margin of more than ten points.

Sparks vs Storm Picks

Storm -10.5

After a challenging Sunday, the Storm is poised to bounce back and secure a comfortable victory tonight. Although the Sparks are gradually making progress, they still have a significant journey ahead. It is highly likely that the Storm will achieve a 6-0 record when they score 80 or more points.
