The undercard for Tyson Fury’s world heavyweight title fight with Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 has been confirmed today (March 30), although the main event will understandably attract the most attention.
The undercard features a 12-round battle between heavyweight contenders Frank Sanchez and Agit Kabayel. Additionally, cruiserweights Jai Opetaia and Mairis Briedis will have a rematch, with Opetaia putting his IBF belt on the line.
In the meantime, Joe Cordina of Wales will be defending his IBF super-featherweight title against Anthony Cacace from Ireland. Sergey Kovalev will be competing against Robin Sirwan in the cruiserweight division. New Zealand Olympian David Nyika will be facing Michael Seitz in another cruiserweight match. Additionally, Isaac Lowe, a British boxer in the featherweight category, will be taking on Hasibullah Ahmadi, while Mark Chamberlain, a British boxer in the lightweight division, will be going up against Joshua Oluwaseun.
After much anticipation, Moses Itauma, hailed as one of the top heavyweight prospects globally, has a highly-anticipated ninth professional fight lined up in Riyadh.
