Leon Edwards is getting some serious hype coming into his UFC 304 title defense against Belal Muhammad in Manchester. But it may be for something that didn’t even really happen.
Rocky is currently in the midst of establishing his stardom, even within his home country of England. While devoted mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiasts admire him for his remarkable knockout victory over Kamaru Usman to claim the title in 2022, his technical approach hasn’t quite captured the attention of more casual fans.
Occasionally, one must successfully execute an incredibly difficult trick shot in a viral video in order for that scenario to come to fruition.
This is the craziest Leon Edwards video ever. pic.twitter.com/fH3Cedgeah

Leon Edwards, in a fresh series of social media videos, is seen jogging when he comes across a group of friends engaged in a basketball game. As one of them tosses the ball towards him, Edwards skillfully kicks it across the court, landing it perfectly in the net! The crowd erupts with excitement, and “Rocky” exclaims his iconic catchphrase, “Boom, headshot! Dead.”
It is highly unlikely that Edwards will succeed in this endeavor, while it is highly probable that this is a fabricated viral video intended to boost Leon’s morale during UFC 304 fight week.
We don’t have the evidence to prove it’s fake at this point, mind you. We’ll have to wait until after UFC 304 for some ad agency to come out and admit it, like when Francis Ngannou shattered a convenience store door with his mighty strength. But that’s probably what’s going to happen.

Hello, we’re not upset at all. It’s high time someone started supporting the lesser-known UFC athletes and promoting them in unique ways. In 2024, this involves creating videos like this one that have the potential to reach audiences beyond just combat sports enthusiasts.
Edwards brings his 12 fight winning streak into UFC 304 on Saturday July 27th, direct from the Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Beating the Khabib-trained Belal Muhammad will be no slam dunk, but he’s very capable of pulling it off, for real.
