EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Oilers announced Wednesday the hiring of Stan Bowman as General Manager and Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations.

After a notable career spanning two decades (2000-2021) with the Chicago Blackhawks, wherein he served as the General Manager for 12 years (2009-2021), Bowman, aged 51, now assumes the role of the Oilers’ 11th General Manager, joining the franchise’s history.

During his time as the general manager, Bowman led the Chicago Blackhawks to three Stanley Cup wins in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
