Bruins Announce Schedule for 2024 Fan Fest Tour
As part of the Bruins Centennial celebration, the Tour will be launching the 100 Days of Hockey initiative, proudly presented by Wegmans.
BOSTON – The Boston Bruins announced today, July 25, the return of Boston Bruins Fan Fest, a three-day tour across the region with the mission to grow the game of hockey throughout New England. The full schedule can be found below.
- Friday, August 23: Lewiston, ME (The Colisée), 12-4 p.m.
- Saturday, August 24: Lowell, MA (Tsongas Center), 12-4 p.m.
- Sunday, August 25: Plymouth, MA (Memorial Hall), 12-4 p.m.
People of all ages will be given the opportunity to take part in hockey activities and games, discover interactive exhibits, purchase Bruins merchandise, and experience the NESN Play-by-Play Kiosk. Along the tour, fans can also receive giveaway items from various partnership booths and interact with PWHL Boston in Lowell at their home arena. Boston Bruins BFit will also be present to lead fitness activities suitable for children. Additionally, members of the Bruins organization are anticipated to attend and join in the celebrations at every stop of the Fan Fest Tour.
During the tour’s visit to Maine, the Boston Bruins Foundation has committed to donating $200,000 as part of its ongoing mission to uplift and support the Lewiston community.
Boston Bruins President Cam Neely emphasized the significance of involving the upcoming generation of Bruins fans during our Centennial celebration. Neely expressed excitement about spreading the essence of the Boston Bruins to fans residing in their respective cities and expressed a commitment to fostering unity among communities in New England through hockey for the foreseeable future.
While on the tour, children who have enrolled in the Bruins Academy Learn to Play program, sponsored by Pure Hockey, will be given the chance to receive on-site fittings for new hockey equipment worth $550 (retail price).
Currently entering its 11th season, the Bruins Learn to Play program, presented by Pure Hockey, provides participants ages 5-9 with a full set of equipment, skates, professional and personalized fittings and four weeks of on-ice skills instruction led by certified coaches. The 2024 Fan Fest Tour will kick off 100 Days of Hockey, presented by Wegmans, a 100-day long outreach campaign during which the Bruins will host community events across New England, to educate, engage and grow the next generation of youth hockey players and Bruins fans. The Bruins Centennial includes the 100 Days of Hockey initiative, leading up to the Boston Bruins Centennial Game on December 1, 2024, which marks the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ inaugural match against the Montreal Maroons in 1924. Further details regarding the Bruins Centennial Game and the introduction of a unique commemorative jersey will be disclosed at a later time.
