Although Luis Severino had a difficult recent outing, it is worth noting that he performed admirably against the Cubs in April.
Severino had an impressive performance in late April when he faced the Cubs, pitching 8 innings and only allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 5 batters. However, his recent outing against the Rangers was quite disappointing. In that game, he pitched 6.1 innings and gave up 6 runs on 8 hits, including 2 home runs. It’s worth noting that he has surrendered home runs in his last two starts and has allowed earned runs in all but one of his starts this season.
