This week, Gritty had a flawless idea.

The Philadelphia Flyers mascot persuaded forward Scott Laughton to take awkward photos at a local JCPenney in a new video posted to social media.

Gritty and Laughton sported white T-shirts and denim shorts, striking different poses against a vibrant green backdrop.

In a series of amusing pictures, the pair stood back-to-back, forming a heart shape with their arms, and playfully pressed their heads together.

Despite the challenging nature of each pose, Laughton impressively maintained a serious expression throughout.

It appears that the Flyers will have a valuable addition to hang in the locker room during the upcoming season.
