The camp provides a chance for the Sharks’ draft picks and prospects to showcase their abilities. Throughout the week, they have been honing their skills under the guidance of Sharks development coaches and former players such as Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, Mike Ricci, Evgeni Nabokov, Tommy Wingels, and others.

Macklin Celebrini, the Sharks’ top pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, as well as Sam Dickinson, their 11th overall selection, have arrived in San Jose for training camp. They are joined by Will Smith, Quentin Musty, David Edstrom, and Kasper Halttunen, who were all drafted in 2023.

Following the second day of camp, the prospects engaged in a friendly cooking competition. Collaborating in teams, they prepared protein shakes and burgers to present to the judges.

The judges were impressed with the cooking skills of Kasper Halttunen, Nate Misskey, Gavin O’Connell, and Brandon Svoboda, declaring them winners of the competition. These individuals have proven themselves as worthy of chef status, while others may need to work on their skills a bit more.
