Goaltender Acquired In Trade On July 15

In an announcement made today, the Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club confirmed the signing of goaltender Kevin Mandolese, securing his services for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The Avalanche obtained the rights to Mandolese in a trade with the Ottawa Senators on July 15, making him their restricted free agent at the time of the exchange.

In the 2023-24 season, Mandolese, aged 23, played 23 games for the Belleville Senators, a team in the AHL. During this time, he achieved a record of 10 wins, 9 losses, and 2 ties, with a save percentage of .901 and a goals against average of 3.07. He also managed to secure one shutout. Mandolese, who stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, has had a total of 66 appearances in his AHL career with Belleville, spanning from 2020 to 2024. In these appearances, he has a record of 28 wins, 28 losses, and 5 ties, with a save percentage of .896 and a goals against average of 3.30. Additionally, he has achieved one shutout. During the 2022-23 season, Mandolese played three games for the Senators in the NHL, recording one win and two losses.
