Shortly after Mike Perry suffered a sixth-round technical knockout (TKO) loss at the hands of Jake Paul at the “Fear No Man” in Tampa, Fla., Conor McGregor — who is part owner of Bareknuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) — “fired” Perry on social media for his performance.
However, “Notorious” didn’t stop at that point. He directed his criticism towards “El Gallo,” labeling him as the “ultimate coward” for failing to defeat a man who weighs significantly less than him earlier than the sixth round.
“Jake Paul is the biggest pissbag I have ever seen in my life,” McGregor tweeted. “40 pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still shitting himself in there. Nakisa you should take him to Vegas — oh that’s right you could never, the athletic commission testing, real testing, real fighting. B*tch asses,” wrote McGregor.
“You’re absolutely incapable. Seriously, who has the audacity to criticize 60-year-old Mike Tyson right after he just experienced a medical emergency on a flight? I swear, you’re nothing but a worthless, disrespectful individual. The epitome of worthlessness.”
Paul naturally seized the chance during the press conference after the fight to reiterate that he has been persistently challenging McGregor for a while.
“That’s f*cked up that he fired your BKFC champion,” Paul said at the post-fight press conference (via MMA Fighting). “I told you that was going to happen. I told you exactly what was going to happen.”
Paul said that he was praising his friend Mike Perry, but he also challenged Conor by saying, “Once I defeat Mike Perry, it’ll be your turn.” Paul pointed out that Conor is always active on Twitter and enjoying his time on a yacht, but he seems to be avoiding a fight with him in the ring.
Despite his constant chatter, The Notorious MMA is actually frightened by Jake Joseph Paul from Disney Channel. I swear on my mother’s life.
As is the norm for Paul, he continuously calls out fighters he knows aren’t able to engage due to their iron-clad UFC contracts, like current Light Heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira. As far as McGregor is concerned, despite his long-awaited UFC return being cancelled one time after another, he is still under contract with the promotion, so another boxing crossover match is highly-unlikely.
But maybe not for too long…
