Chris Eubank Jr signs promotional deal with Boxxer and says “big fights are in the pipeline”

Boxxer has granted Chris Eubank Jr a promotional agreement, marking a fresh direction in the enigmatic British star’s career.

In their press release, Eubank Jr. announced a significant partnership deal that will see him returning to the ring on Sky Sports. This collaboration aims to secure high-profile bouts, as Eubank Jr. has faced inconsistency in landing big fights throughout his professional career.

With his 35th birthday just two months away Eubank will look to be back in the ring soon having not fought since his rematch win over Liam Smith 10 months ago. That victory – with Terence Crawford’s trainer Brian “BoMac” McIntyre in his corner – was a significant one having lost to Smith eight months earlier.

Recently, there have been rumors connecting Eubank (33-3, 24 KOs) to a highly anticipated showdown against undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. Reports indicate that it is now a toss-up between the British fighter and Edgar Berlanga for the opportunity to challenge the Mexican champion.

Eubank expressed his immense enthusiasm upon signing with BOXXER and Ben Shalom.

“They align perfectly with my desired path. We have ambitious goals for the next 12 to 24 months, including major upcoming challenges, and I trust these individuals to deliver. It’s a true partnership where I enjoy the rare opportunity to work on my own terms, granting me freedom and flexibility. I hold a position of influence and control, allowing me to shape my desired direction. Needless to say, I am thrilled and excited.”

After 12 years in the game, my hunger, excitement, and love for boxing still burn strong. I find myself in a blessed position with a plethora of mega fights on the horizon. Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, Conor Benn, Billy Joe Saunders – these are just a few names that come to mind. But the truth is, there are countless more potential bouts, even within my own country. This exhilarating position I find myself in fills me with anticipation.

According to Boxxer CEO Ben Shalom, the newest addition to their roster is viewed as a major draw in the boxing world, being considered both a prominent figure and a guaranteed pay-per-view sensation.

Shalom expressed, “Wherever he goes, he carries an air of excitement and intrigue.”

“I am thrilled to collaborate with Chris to ensure that his immense potential and fierce ambition are fully realized within BOXXER, his natural domain. Our team has had the honor of partnering with Chris during numerous monumental boxing events in the UK, and we anticipate many more on a global scale. His hunger and drive are palpable, and we eagerly await his return to the ring, ready to witness his involvement in some truly monumental fights.”

Although Eubank’s personality has helped him gain popularity with a wider audience, he remains a controversial figure among boxing fans. He experienced losses in domestic fights against Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves, while his notable victories include Liam Smith, Liam Williams, and an aging version of James DeGale.

Despite the persistence of his talent and athletic qualities, Eubank Jr’s latest promotional agreement must now serve as a means to propel him towards the high-profile fights he firmly believes he is capable of participating in and emerging victorious.
