BRITISH promoter Frank Warren is on the verge of joining DAZN in an industry-disrupting broadcasting agreement that would see him under the same banner as Eddie Hearn. That’s according to The Times, which revealed the news in light of the understanding that Warren’s TNT Sports deal ends in 2025.
The move would theoretically make things between the two promoters run more smoothly and make the biggest fights easier to agree on. One such fight is Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury. Joshua, of course, must first get past Daniel Dubois on September 21 in Wembley Stadium. Dubois is promoted by Warren.
Frank and Eddie’s newfound union has been facilitated by the cash flow and boxing interest shown by Saudi powerhouse Turki Alalshikh, who has turned enemies into friends. Having them on the same platform makes future contests more likely.
That said, Matchroom and Golden Boy have been under the same DAZN banner for a while, and the cross-promotional fights are hardly flowing on a monthly basis. Being on the same shores should make all the difference with this newly proposed partnership.

A mooted move would leave TNT without a promoter if they decide to continue showing boxing. No doubt, watching developments with interest, Ben Shalom’s Boxxer is currently Sky Sports’ in-house promoter.
DAZN’s path has twisted in various directions since its 2016 entry into the competitive sporting market. Matchroom and Queensberry uniting would create a boxing stronghold. Neither party has commented on the reports at this time.
