Jaron Ennis is ready to put on a show in Philadelphia

JARON Ennis is all weighed in and ready shimmer and shine at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia later tonight. While David Avanesyan would strongly disagree, many will be tuning in to witness the ‘Boots’ show, expecting a devastating performance.

The IBF welterweight world champion steps out of the Crawford/Spence shadow to stake his claim as the main man at 147. The talent is there, the eye test has long been passed, and now it is time to stack up the resume with names.

There are some interesting battles scheduled for the undercard. Welterweight prospect Jalil Hackett has looked impressive so far in his fledgling career. Opponent Peter Dobson is a nice step up to see exactly where Hackett is at. Dobson took Conor Benn the 12-round distance in February and has proven fairly sturdy across his career. Unbeaten in eight, ‘Major’ Hackett can punch.

Skye Nicolson, Khalil Coe and Christopher Diaz also feature, along with a handful of preliminary bouts. The full weights and running order are below.
