Guenther Steiner questions Williams’ Adrian Newey, Carlos Sainz pursuit
Guenther Steiner, the former team principal of Haas, has dismissed the idea of Williams’ interest in Adrian Newey and outgoing Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz as mere “wishful thinking.”
He is concerned that the team might appear quite foolish if both deals fail to materialize.

George Russell predicts post-Lewis Hamilton ‘spark’ for Mercedes
George Russell is optimistic that Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari in F1 2025 will bring a fresh energy to Mercedes.
Hamilton will be leaving Mercedes after this season, as he confirmed in February that he has signed a multi-year contract with Ferrari starting from next year.
According to Russell, Hamilton’s departure is viewed as an opportunity for the team to start anew. He believes it is advantageous that Hamilton is leaving now instead of after potentially losing the F1 2021 championship to Verstappen, as that would have posed challenges for the team.

Ralf Schumacher scoffs at Lewis Hamilton retirement claim
Ralf Schumacher, a six-time race winner, outright dismissed an “absurd” rumor suggesting that Lewis Hamilton might retire from Formula 1 in 2024.
Hamilton’s final season with Mercedes isn’t going as intended, as he finds himself trailing George Russell by a significant margin of 7-1 in the inter-team qualifying challenge at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Schumacher dismissed the idea of Hamilton retiring after this season, stating that the financial stakes are too high due to his Ferrari agreement.

Andretti F1 conspiracy theory rejected
Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren, has dismissed the conspiracy theory suggesting that F1’s reluctance towards the proposed Andretti team is driven by an anti-American bias.
Andretti has encountered significant opposition from F1’s commercial rights holder and the existing 10 teams in their quest to obtain an F1 entry, resulting in the rejection of the team’s formal application in January.
Dismissing any claims of an anti-US agenda, Brown, one of the rare team bosses to openly support Andretti, has voiced his support for him.
