Lando Norris delays flight home and details wild party celebrations in Miami

McLaren’s Lando Norris on the podium.

There will be no time for sleep for Lando Norris as he celebrates his Miami Grand Prix victory, which may see his scratched nose suffered in Amsterdam look like nothing.

Norris has put an end to the discussion about his podium finishes without a win, as he triumphantly claimed the top spot at the Miami Grand Prix. He cleverly utilized the Safety Car situation to make a pit stop and maintain his lead, ultimately leaving Max Verstappen behind and securing his first-ever F1 victory.

Lando Norris changes Miami flight to go ‘all the way’

Lewis Hamilton, a former McLaren driver, advised Norris to alter his scheduled flight home for tonight so that he could properly celebrate his inaugural victory. Norris confirmed that McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has already made the necessary arrangements for this change.

When asked about his plans for the evening in the post-race press conference, Norris responded, “Initially, I was supposed to fly tonight, but Zak just informed me that our flight has been rescheduled for tomorrow.”

“I won’t be going to sleep. I’m determined to go the distance.”

Before the Miami Grand Prix, Norris gained attention for his Koningsdag (King’s Day) boat party in Amsterdam. Photos started circulating online, showing Norris with bandages on his face. It was later revealed that he had scratched his nose due to broken glass.

It may not be a significant issue at the moment, but Norris might find himself in a slightly worse condition following his celebrations in Miami.

“I might wake up tomorrow with more than just a scratch on my nose!” Norris joked. “But it doesn’t bother me.”

“But I’ll savor this moment, as it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience to achieve your first victory. It feels great to accomplish it right here in Miami.”

Despite admitting that he would have preferred to secure his first win at Silverstone, Norris remains determined to pursue victory at the British Grand Prix. However, he currently has other celebratory obligations in Miami.

Norris expressed his wish for the event to take place at Silverstone, but he is determined to give his best performance wherever it happens.

“Tonight promises to be an exceptional evening.”

In two weeks’ time, Norris will have another chance to maintain his winning streak at Imola.
