The Williams driver has been under pressure over his seat having largely not matched team-mate Alex Albon so far in his career, with Vowles instructing Sargeant to close the gap between the two of them over race weekends.

Despite being linked with other candidates for his current position, the 23-year-old was questioned about his future. In response, he stated that his main priority is focusing on what he can control during this weekend in Monte Carlo.

Sargeant informed the media, including PlanetF1.com in Monaco, that he remains dedicated to his job until the end of the day.

I dedicate excessive time to working with the engineers, carefully analyzing my driving skills and thoroughly examining the data from various cars.

At the close of each day, my purpose remains unchanged – to fulfill my role as a driver and carry out my duties to the best of my abilities. That is exactly what I strive to accomplish.

When questioned about whether he believes he has been given sufficient time to showcase his abilities to the team, he responded by saying, “The timing is beyond my control, so I accept the situation as it is.”

“I’m currently in round seven, and I still have several rounds remaining. Right now, my main focus is on this weekend.”

When asked if he has guarantees from the team about having the opportunity to showcase his abilities, he replied, “Yes, currently I have a contract and my purpose here is to drive.”

In my opinion, I believe that [James Vowles] is present to provide me with support. Undoubtedly, I have perceived his assistance for the past year and a half.

In my opinion, our collective goal is to progress the team as a whole. It is evident that we still have room for improvement, and any enhancements we make as a team ultimately contribute to my better performance as a driver.

Naturally, I have the desire to remain. I possess the conviction that I can attain the required level, hence my current endeavor revolves around achieving it.
