The team is currently on track to secure their third consecutive title double in F1 2024, with Verstappen leading the Drivers’ Championship as he aims for a fourth consecutive World Championship.

Newey’s legacy as one of Formula 1’s greatest designers is firmly established, having created championship-winning vehicles for Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull. However, his time with Red Bull has reached its conclusion, as he plans to depart “after the first quarter of 2025.” Nonetheless, his involvement with Red Bull F1 has already come to an end.
Although his departure is not positive for Verstappen, he disclosed that he had urged Newey to prioritize his own and his family’s well-being, acknowledging Formula 1’s cutthroat nature.
During an interview with Sky F1, Verstappen expressed his preference for Adrian to remain in the team. However, he also acknowledged the competitive nature of F1 and emphasized that individuals must prioritize what they believe is best for themselves.
“I believe it is crucial for you to prioritize your own well-being and make the best decision for yourself and your family.”
“I don’t blame him either. If someone wants to leave and pursue other goals or things in life, it’s completely understandable. There’s nothing wrong with that.”

There is a possibility that Newey’s F1 journey is not yet complete, as prestigious teams like Ferrari and Aston Martin are rumored to be interested in recruiting him.
Lewis Hamilton, who is set to leave Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025, expressed his strong desire for Newey to join him at Ferrari.
When questioned by the media before the Miami Grand Prix about his desire for Newey to join him at Ferrari, Hamilton expressed a strong interest, stating, “I would really love that.”
Adrian has a remarkable history and track record, consistently demonstrating exceptional performance throughout his career by effectively engaging with teams and showcasing his vast knowledge. I firmly believe that his presence would be an outstanding addition.
