Yuki Tsunoda has shared the track with Pierre Gasly and Daniel Ricciardo.
Yuki Tsunoda arrived in Formula 1 in 2021 and alongside him in the AlphaTauri garage was Pierre Gasly but, with the Frenchman now at Alpine, it is Daniel Ricciardo he is now sharing a paddock with – someone who is playing an important role as a good “reference” driver with his Red Bull future up in the air.
Tsunoda has had the opportunity to race alongside Gasly in 44 races and currently with Ricciardo in 29 races. These two drivers have been instrumental in helping Tsunoda enhance his skills.

When asked about the significant contrasts between Gasly and Ricciardo, Tsunoda responded that both drivers were ideal teammates for his current career stage, according to PlanetF1.com.
Tsunoda expressed, “Being in my inaugural year in Formula 1 and currently holding my position gives me a fresh outlook, a unique viewpoint. I also sense a personal transformation within myself.”
It is difficult to determine, but I believe both sides share a commonality. They possess their own valuable expertise and a desire to compete and foster connections with teams.
In my opinion, both individuals excel in communication with engineers and providing valuable feedback to them. They also play a crucial role in guiding the team towards the desired development direction.

I consider myself fortunate to have had Pierre as my first teammate during the initial two years. Whenever I faced difficulties on the track or found myself in a negative state of mind, he proved to be a reliable teammate. Our bond extended beyond the racing realm, as we shared a strong friendship. Pierre played a significant role in helping me navigate through various challenges and taught me to appreciate the journey itself.
Currently, I believe Daniel is the perfect reference driver to help me enhance my skills in areas where I need improvement, as he excels in those specific areas.
I am currently working towards developing the mental side, which is his strong suit. I believe he is the person who can effectively manage it.
Every time I have been with Pierre and Daniel, they have proven to be excellent team-mates.
