Mark Coleman has returned to the hospital.
Just four months after his house fire heroics left him on life support, “The Hammer” will undergo emergency surgery to address a nasty hip infection. Unfortunately for the retired UFC hall of famer, the procedure has been delayed due to his medication.
“Back in the hospital again,” Coleman told his Instagram followers. “My hip is septically infected. They were going to do emergency surgery today, but I’m blood thinners so they’re going to have to wait until Monday. So I’m going to hang out here for the weekend. Everything’s going to be fine.”
Shortly after Coleman’s recovery from the deadly blaze back in March, the promotion tapped “The Hammer” to present the “BMF” belt at UFC 300. No word yet on how long the former UFC champ will be sidelined with his latest issue.
Coleman asserted, “Life is great. God’s plan is ever-present.”
