Jake Paul smokes Mike Perry, enrages MMA community by calling out Alex Pereira — ‘I beat multiple UFC champions’

Jake Paul embarrassed Mike Perry in their pay-per-view (PPV) boxing match last Sat. night on DAZN, which took place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Or Perry embarrassed himself, depending on how you look at it.

I’m not sure what the “Platinum” gameplan was, but walking forward with your hands down and chin up is a surefire way to get knocked out — and he did, getting waved off midway through the sixth round (watch it here).

Perry will return to BKFC in a defeated state, showing his defeat through his posture and demeanor.

As for Paul, he’s expected to fight former WBC heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike Tyson this November in Arlington, Texas. A victory in “The Lone Star State” could help “El Gallo” score bigger and better opportunities.

Similar to stepping into the ring for a boxing match against the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

“Alex Pereira, you mentioned wanting to box? Well, let me tell you, I am the reigning champion in this realm,” Paul declared triumphantly post-fight. “Why don’t you come on over, let’s make it a reality. I am eager to face you, Alex Pereira. I’ve just defeated a BKFC champion, triumphed over numerous UFC champions, and now he expresses his desire to step into the boxing ring. So, Alex Pereira, once Mike Tyson is done, let’s make this long-awaited showdown happen.”

Stranger things have happened in the crazy world of prize fighting.

Finishing Perry pushed Paul’s pro boxing record to 10-1 with seven knockouts. That includes victories over former UFC champions Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, among others, which may explain why the MMA community continues to be enraged by Paul’s antics.

The most effective method to silence him is by defeating him.

To date, only fellow pugilist Tommy Fury has accomplished that feat. Probably because MMA fighters, much like BKFC brawlers, don’t have adequate training in the “sweet science” and wind up getting outboxed from bell-to-bell.

Perhaps the tables will be turned when Paul makes his eventual debut in PFL.
