Midnight Mania! Paul-Perry interview quickly turns weird: ‘I’m going to dig through your eyeball’

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Jake Paul and Mike Perry will meet inside the boxing ring this weekend live on DAZN PPV from Tampa, Fla., but the two faced off in a pre-fight interview this week that quickly turned weird.

Paul was supposed to be fighting Mike Tyson this month, but “Iron Mike” had a health scare so “Platinum” stepped in. Perry may not possess the boxing skills of a Tyson, but the former UFC contender does have some serious power and also has an iron chin. It should be a good fight with all things considered.

Before the gloves start flying, Paul and Perry joined for a special “MVP Face 2 Face” sit-down to discuss their upcoming fight. It was a pretty cringe interview to say the least, chock-full of Hulk Hogan impressions and awkward back-and-forth trash talk. Perry had some of the strangest things to say. Check it out below:

Perry confidently stated, “I will capitalize on your inexperienced nature during this fight, causing you to crumble. You appear quite soft and weak, while I am as tough as a solid rock. My physique is incredibly well-defined.”

He later commented, “A large portion of individuals on the internet lack knowledge about boxing. Either they have never experienced a fight or they possess limited understanding. It’s important to note that individuals with special needs may also fall into this category. One aspect to consider is that those who are intellectually challenged might not be aware of their own limitations.”

Perry expressed his anticipation for a confrontation, stating, “I eagerly await the battle. I have a fondness for both receiving and delivering punches, so it will be quite the spectacle. With ten-ounce gloves and no headgear, Jake, prepare yourself for some pain. Furthermore, I will relish in your futile attempts to harm me, laughing directly in your face.”

Perry confidently declared, “Your feeble attempts at attacking me with those weak little punches won’t even come close to my brain stem, my friend. In fact, I’ll delve into your eye socket and uncover your precious memories.”

Would it have made a difference?

Justin Gaethje says Max Holloway was “very precise and perfect” during their fight, and a “very tough Max Holloway to beat”.

He also says what he would change if he he could go back and adjust his game plan:

Is Bobby Green’s chin slightly diminished?

Bobby Green “a little bit chinny now”? That’s what Paddy Pimblett had to say about his upcoming opponent in an interview with @MikeBohn. #UFC304 pic.twitter.com/cBUmmagosC
