UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards and No. 2-ranked title contender Belal Muhammad crossed paths earlier this week inside the UFC 304 fighter hotel, an elevator (or lift, depending on your region) altercation that had “Remember the Name” calling “Rocky” and Co. a bunch of quivering “cowards.”
Unsurprisingly, Edwards presented a significantly divergent account of their unconventional encounter.
“It opened, he was like standing right there in front and I walked straight into the lift and pressed number three and that was it,” Edwards said during the UFC 304 media day (watch it here). “Came out … it’s weird, because in the lift he was mighty quiet, then when the lift opened and everyone was outside, he was like ‘P*ssy, blah, blah, blah.’ I was like ‘Bro, why didn’t you say all this in the lift?’ I don’t know.”

Their hatred seems real (unlike this questionable video).
Edwards defends his welterweight title in the UFC 304 pay-per-view (PPV) main event this Sat. night (July 27, 2024) at Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Their five-round headliner serves as a rematch from UFC Vegas 21, a fight that went to a “No Contest” after an unfortunate eye poke brought a halt to the action.
