Les Jackson, Senior Advisor to General Manager
Jackson’s name finally gracing the Stanley Cup after nearly thirty years in the NHL was undeniably a gratifying moment.
His family filled it with ice cream during his day with the Cup in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, it was so sweet.
In 2020, Jackson’s entry into the Panthers was as a professional scout.

Kyle Okposo
Having waited 17 seasons to hoist the Stanley Cup, what were a few more hours?
After facing a slight delay in his celebration caused by the worldwide IT outage that disrupted flights globally, the experienced forward was finally able to raise the Cup triumphantly above his head at a festive gathering in his native Minnesota.
Okposo, who was traded to the Panthers in March, provided two assists throughout 17 playoff games.

Matthew Tkachuk
During his brief two-day stint with the Stanley Cup, the Panthers’ prominent forward managed to accomplish an impressive array of activities.
Besides sharing the trophy with his loved ones, he made sure to bring the Cup to various places including his elementary school, Villa Duchesne in St. Louis, the St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and the Brentwood police and fire departments, among several other locations.
During its journey, the Cup made a stop at a brewery, fed a horse, and also took some swings at the golf course.

Anthony Stolarz
The backup goaltender from Florida was given the opportunity to start in the Cup.
Stolarz, the first player to secure a day with Lord Stanley, proudly returned it to his home state of New Jersey.
During the regular season, he contributed significantly to the Panthers’ achievement of securing home-ice advantage in the playoffs, recording a remarkable 16 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties, with an impressive save percentage of .925.

Sunny Mehta, Assistant General Manager & Head of Analytics
It comes as no surprise that a guy with a knack for numbers brought Lord Stanley to school.
Mehta returned to his former school, Ramapo High School in New Jersey, as a part of his day with the Cup.
“If a Jersey kid like me, son of immigrant parents, kid who had very mediocre athletic skills, to be honest, if I can be standing here with the Stanley Cup, know that if you dream big, you never know what’s possible,” he told the students, according to NHL.com.
In 2020, Mehta started working for the Panthers as the Vice President of Hockey Strategy and Intelligence.

Chris McLellan, Vice President of Sports Performance
McLellan, the pioneering Australian, became the first person from Australia to have their name engraved on the prestigious Stanley Cup. To celebrate this remarkable achievement, McLellan decided to embark on a fishing expedition in the captivating waters of the Florida Keys, accompanied by the esteemed Cup.
Accompanying the team were the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Mike Joyce, and the General Manager, Bill Zito.
They not only secured the Cup a few weeks ago but also managed to reel in a considerable number of fish.
A fishing champion or a #stanleycup champion? Bill Zito General Manager of the @FlaPanthers is both. No wonder he is smiling! @HockeyHallFame @NHL pic.twitter.com/8X1OmYT7Wl
