AFC Bournemouth Launch Special Edition Kits in Collaboration with Michael B. Jordan

On Saturday, the club will don specialty kits when facing Wrexham on ESPN.

AFC Bournemouth are thrilled to announce their first product range in collaboration with club owner, actor, director, and producer Michael B. Jordan, which will be seen on the pitch during the club’s Bourne In The USA preseason tour of California.

The club has introduced two special edition kits in their iconic red and black colors. These kits feature a captivating cherry pattern that intertwines throughout the design. To symbolize the collaboration with Michael, an exclusive MBJ x AFCB tag will be included in the range. Additionally, this tag will showcase Michael’s Outlier Society Ventures stamp, representing his dedication to innovative and influential ventures.

The shirts will feature a contemporary version of an old Cherries crest, which will also be used as a secondary symbol in other club initiatives. Collaborating with skilled designer Daniel Norris, the club and Michael have diligently revamped the previous crest that was utilized by the club back in the early 1980s.

Michael, a minority owner in the Bill Foley-led consortium that purchased AFC Bournemouth in December 2022, expressed his enthusiasm for the chance to create a kit. Since becoming a part of the club, he has eagerly anticipated this project and is eagerly anticipating seeing the team wear it on the field this week. With these thrilling moments for Cherries fans, he is excited to witness what the upcoming season has in store.

Andoni Iraola and his team, after an exceptional 2023/24 season, have now reached the west coast of the United States. They will dedicate the next two weeks to intensifying their training for the upcoming Premier League season.

City National Bank is providing support for the California tour, which includes two friendly fixtures. Both matches will be broadcasted on ESPN. The first game will be held at 16:00 PT on Saturday, July 20th, against Wrexham AFC at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara. The Cherries will then face Arsenal at Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of LA Galaxy, at 19:30 PT on Wednesday, July 24th.

The club can confirm that both matches will see the players showcase the limited-edition kit, with shirts available to purchase at the stadium on each matchday or pre-ordered via superstore.afcb.co.uk. Adult sizes are priced at £85, with kids sizes available at £70. Shipping for online orders is expected to take one to two weeks from launch.

Bill Foley, owner and chairman of AFC Bournemouth, expressed his delight in embracing the Cherries identity through this opportunity. He commended the unique aspect of the club and expressed satisfaction with the appearance of the kits. Foley thanked Michael for his passion and dedication in creating the range, expressing excitement for the supporters to see it.
