Bruins Sign Marc McLaughlin to One-Year, Two-Way Contract Extension 

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, July 16, that the team has signed forward Marc McLaughlin to a one-year, two-way contract extension with an NHL cap hit of $775,000. 

During the 2023-24 season, McLaughlin, a 24-year-old forward, showcased his skills in 68 games for the Providence Bruins. He impressively scored eight goals and contributed six assists, accumulating a total of 14 points. In addition, McLaughlin had the opportunity to play one game with the Boston team during the same season, where he scored one goal. Throughout his career in the AHL, McLaughlin has played 135 games exclusively for Providence, amassing 21 goals and 23 assists, resulting in a total of 44 points. Hailing from North Billerica, Massachusetts, McLaughlin initially joined the Boston organization as a free agent in March 2022.
