Florida Panthers Announce Fifth Annual Summer Reading Tour 

The Dairy Council of Florida presents the 2024 Summer Reading Tour, making stops at five local libraries.

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that they will host their fifth annual summer reading tour with Broward County Library as part of their Summer Learning Program.

The South Florida community is encouraged to visit local libraries and enjoy books read by Panthers’ guests and personalities. Fans can learn more about Broward Public Libraries Summer Learning program by clicking here.

Full schedule is listed below:

  • The time and date for the event at Southwest Regional Library is Thursday, July 11, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
  • On Monday, July 15, from 12 pm to 2 pm, the Sunrise Dan Pearl Library will be open.
  • The Alvin Sherman Library will be open from 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, July 24.
  • On Saturday, July 27th, from 1 pm to 3 pm, the North Regional Library will be open.
  • The event is scheduled to take place at West Regional Library on Saturday, August 3 from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Fans can still pick up their Florida Panthers library card at any of the 37 Broward County Library locations while supplies last. Broward County residents can visit a location to pick up a free library card or can replace their existing card with a new Panthers limited-edition card. Furthermore, the Panthers have introduced a reading challenge that extends to both existing and prospective members of their Kids Club.

You can participate in the reading challenge either at tour events or anywhere you like. Children have the option to choose from three goals: reading 20 books, 40 books, or 60 books. Every time a goal is achieved, participants will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win amazing prizes such as Panthers-signed items and more. Reading logs and a printable certificate will be provided to keep track of the books read. The program will be available until Monday, September 2nd.
