Minnesota Wild and Bally Sports North Announce Date and Match-ups for 19th Annual "Hockey Day Minnesota"

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with Bally Sports North, Minnesota Hockey and the Shakopee Local Organizing Committee, today announced the date for the 19th Annual Hockey Day Minnesota (HDM), presented by UnitedHealthcare. Valleyfair Amusement Park will serve as the venue for the 19th annual statewide hockey celebration on Saturday, January 25. Game times will be announced at a later date.

Minnesota Wild CEO Matt Majka expressed his enthusiasm for celebrating Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 in Shakopee, stating that the combination of the excitement from Valleyfair and the hockey festivities will make it an unforgettable day for all participants.

Stacey Langemo, Chair of Hockey Day Minnesota 2025, expressed her delight in unveiling the date and matchups for the event. She eagerly anticipates the intense hockey action that will take place over the weekend at one of Minnesota’s renowned locations.

Brett Edelson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Minnesota, expressed his gratitude for being chosen as the presenting sponsor of Hockey Day Minnesota, stating, “We feel privileged to be a part of an event that brings our state together through the love of hockey. This special day not only celebrates the sport but also highlights the importance of physical activity and community wellness.”

Randy Stephens, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bally Sports North, expressed his enthusiasm for Hockey Day Minnesota, stating that it has become a significant event on their network calendar. He further mentioned that televising the event at Valleyfair would offer a unique and exceptional setting, and they are eagerly looking forward to this opportunity.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, Bally Sports North will present a broadcast event showcasing more than 16 hours of exclusive hockey programming. The lineup includes three live outdoor games held at Valleyfair Amusement Park, followed by a primetime Minnesota Wild game. Alongside showing highlights from all Hockey Day games happening over the weekend, the regional sports network will also cover the outdoor festivities occurring at Valleyfair Amusement Park.
