METAL! loses arm-wrestling match to Jordynne Grace
The previously furry blue mascot has transformed into a mascot sporting a black-and-blue color scheme.
MONTREAL – METAL! might want to take a hint from his name and pump some iron before feuding with any more professional wrestlers.
The unofficial Habs mascot had got caught up in an online squabble with TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace earlier in the week, culminating in a real-world arm-wrestling match outside the Bell Centre on Friday.
However, the friendly game at the table escalated rapidly, resembling more of a brawl on the ice in a hockey match.
Hostilities were stoked when METAL! entered the outdoor ring alongside The Personal Concierge, the manager of Ash by Elegance—Grace’s opponent at TNA Slammiversary at Verdun Auditorium on Saturday.
Anticipating the planned ambush, the world champion wisely enlisted additional support – precisely 234 pounds worth – by enlisting the services of TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella.
After experiencing a few unsuccessful attempts, METAL! finally managed to warm up his right bicep and gain more practice. Once everything was set, Grace effortlessly sailed through the match, securing a comfortable victory.
METAL! escalated the situation significantly by impulsively taking a swing at Marella while demanding a rematch, resulting in him being forcefully thrown onto his back and crashing through a table.
Take a look at the event recap below, showcasing special appearances by guest referee Youppi! and guest host Kevin Raphael.
At the Bell Centre, METAL! engages in an arm wrestling match with Jordynne Grace.
In all, METAL!’s arm wrestling career was a relatively short one, and it’s safe to say it’s one sport he won’t be unretiring from any time soon.
