Utah Hockey Club Signs Forward Cole Beaudoin to Entry-Level Contract
Utah Hockey Club made an official statement today, confirming the signing of forward Cole Beaudoin to an entry-level contract.
During the 2023-24 season with Barrie (OHL), the forward, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 209 pounds, achieved an impressive record of 28 goals and 34 assists, accumulating a total of 62 points across 67 games. This performance secured them the second spot in assists and third in both goals and points within the team. Notably, Beaudoin showcased exceptional prowess with 12 power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and three short-handed goals, effectively contributing to Barrie’s success. Additionally, as the alternate captain, Beaudoin also managed to score 2 goals and provide 3 assists, summing up to 5 points in six playoff games.
In the 2022-23 season, the player hailing from Kanata, Ontario, achieved a total of 8 goals and 12 assists, accumulating 20 points throughout 63 games. Additionally, they contributed two assists in 13 playoff games while playing for Barrie.
In seven games, Beaudoin contributed 2 goals and 2 assists, helping Team Canada secure a gold medal at the 2024 IIHF U18 World Junior Championship. Additionally, he showcased his skills at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he recorded 3 goals and 3 assists, ultimately earning another gold medal for Team Canada in just five games.
In the 2024 NHL Draft, Beaudoin was chosen as the 24th overall pick in the first round.
