After consecutive victories over the Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun by a margin of 11 points each, the Aces (8-6) are on a roll. Notably, Chelsea Gray, who had been absent for the initial 12 games, marked her season debut in the previous triumph.
Currently sitting in fifth place in the WNBA standings, the Aces find themselves trailing the New York Liberty (15-3) by five games. Chicago has a series of seven games before the Olympic break, with two against the Aces, Storm, and Liberty, and one against the Lynx. However, with Reese and Carter performing admirably, Kamilla Cardoso hitting a career-high 16 points and 10 rebounds in their recent victory against the Fever, and Marina Mabrey consistently making important contributions, the team is heading into this stretch with confidence.
However, I believe the champions will prove to be too strong for them tonight. The Aces have shown great performance in their previous two games and if they continue that momentum tonight, they should secure a comfortable victory. While the Sky managed to overcome a 15-point deficit against the Fever, the Aces present a much tougher challenge.
