The Renaissance Club in North Berwick is hosting the tournament for the sixth year in a row. This prestigious event takes place on a 7,237-yard, par-70 course.

In the previous year, Rory McIlroy emerged victorious in the Genesis Scottish Open for the very first time. His outstanding performance of 15-under 265 allowed him to secure the win, narrowly surpassing the efforts of Scotsman Robert MacIntyre by a single stroke.

Currently, the Scottish Open has only been won by two players multiple times. The first is Ian Woosnam, who secured victories in 1987, 1990, and 1996.
