Lynx vs Storm Predictions & WNBA Picks Today (7/12)
The WNBA game tonight is the last match of the 2024 season between the Lynx and the Storm. It is surprising to see Seattle as the favorite by 7 points, considering that Minnesota has won the previous three matchups with an average margin of 13.7 points per game.
Despite two of the wins being achieved away from home, the Lynx managed to secure an impressive 83-70 victory at Climate Pledge Arena on May 14th. Alanna Smith emerged as the top scorer with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Napheesa Collier achieved yet another double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The one-sided series is not a recent development. The Lynx have been victorious in 6 out of their last 7 games against the Storm, regardless of the location of the game.
After securing consecutive victories against the Washington Mystics and Los Angeles Sparks, the Lynx are returning to Seattle with a boost of momentum. In contrast, the Storm have experienced two losses in their previous three home games, including a significant downfall in the second half against the Las Vegas Aces just two days ago.
Will the Storm’s struggles at home continue against the Lynx tonight?
The Lynx will likely be without a key player tonight as Napheesa Collier is doubtful due to a foot injury. The 27-year-old All-Star has easily been Minnesota’s best player this season as she paces her teammates in points (20.0), rebounds (10.2), steals (2.2), and field goals made(7.7).
However, it remains to be seen if the Lynx can maintain this winning streak as they have emerged victorious in both games since Collier’s absence.
The Storm are in full health for tonight’s game, giving them the opportunity to exploit the Lynx’s injury situation.
Do the Lynx have what it takes to beat the Storm if Napheesa Collier (foot) doesn’t suit up tonight?
Even without Collier, I’m still taking the Lynx to win today. They’ve beaten the Storm three straight times this season for a reason, which is a streak that could continue based on Seattle’s recent home play. It’ll be a closer game if Collier doesn’t play, however, Minnesota has what it takes to win either way.
I also recommend backing the Lynx on the 7-point spread. Again, Minnesota has outscored Seattle by nearly 14 points per meeting this season. Even without Collier playing, the visitors are more than talented enough to keep things closer than the oddsmakers project, regardless of whether they pull off the upset or not.

Best Lynx vs Storm WNBA Prop Bet (7/12)
There are a few solid Lynx vs. Storm player props available tonight, including Alanna Smith o5.5 total rebounds (-129).
Since the middle of June, Smith has been a reliable rebounder for the Lynx. In her last 10 games, the Australian forward has averaged 6.1 rebounds and has achieved over seven rebounds in most of those games. Two of those games were played without Collier, where Smith recorded eight rebounds against the Mystics and six rebounds against the Sparks on Tuesday.
Smith’s impressive performance in Seattle, where she collected eight boards, puts her in a great position to surpass the Over tonight.
