3 NFL MVP 2024 Best Bets
Patricks Mahomes (+500)
It is not surprising to see Patrick Mahomes as BetOnline’s +500 NFL MVP favorite, considering he is widely regarded as the best quarterback in the NFL currently, and potentially even of all time in the future.
Mahomes is truly unstoppable. With his exceptional arm strength and football intelligence, the former Texas Tech quarterback consistently transforms seemingly impossible situations into jaw-dropping highlight-reel plays every week. His outstanding performances have been instrumental in the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent success, leading them to three Super Bowl victories in the past five seasons, including consecutive wins in the last two playoffs.
Furthermore, Mahomes is no stranger to the NFL MVP discussion. Being one of 11 individuals in the league’s history, he has been honored with the prestigious title of Most Valuable Player on two separate occasions. Initially clinching the award in 2018, Mahomes proved his worth once again by achieving the same feat in 2022. Notably, he joins the elite company of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers as the sole players to have secured the MVP accolade multiple times since 2020.
With the presence of Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy, the Chiefs’ WR lineup has significantly improved compared to last year, placing Mahomes in an ideal position to secure his third MVP award. Additionally, the offensive line shows great promise for another successful season. As long as the team remains injury-free, Mahomes will undoubtedly remain a strong contender for the NFL MVP title throughout the entirety of the season.
If you have a favorable view on Mahomes’ chances, it is recommended to place your bet now before the odds decrease once the game starts.

C.J. Stroud (+975)
As the 2023 NFL season kicked off, there was immense anticipation surrounding the performance of Bryce Young, the top pick in the draft. Although the former Alabama QB displayed flashes of potential, it didn’t take much time for him to be overshadowed by C.J. Stroud, the second overall selection.
At just 22 years old, Stroud proved to be a game-changer for the Houston Texans, earning the title of the NFL’s top offensive rookie last season. The talented former Ohio State player showcased his skills by completing an impressive 63.9% of his passes, accumulating an impressive 4,108 passing yards, and securing 23 touchdowns with only six interceptions. His remarkable performance led him to top the league with an average of 273.9 passing yards per game. Such outstanding achievements even landed him in eighth place in the MVP voting.
Considering how impressive he was as a rookie, it’s likely Stroud will get even better with age. He also has one of the best wideout groups in the league at his disposal. Nico Collins and Tank Dell bet looked like WR1s last season and now Stefon Diggs has been added to the mix. That’s without mentioning the likes of Robert Woods, John Metchie III, and tight end Dalton Schultz, as well as Joe Mixon’s addition to the backfield.

Lamar Jackson (+2000)
Despite being the current NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson is not receiving the respect he deserves from oddsmakers. Despite his impressive skills as a dual-threat player, his odds of winning the award again are only at +2000, tying him for the 10th position among his fellow players. This lack of recognition becomes even more disrespectful when considering that, like Mahomes, Jackson has also won the MVP title twice.
If you’re in search of an unexpected choice, it wouldn’t hurt to place a bet on Jackson. Since being crowned MVP in the 2019 NFL season, he has proven himself as one of the top quarterbacks. With an impressive record of 14,686 passing yards and 119 touchdowns (alongside 42 interceptions) during this period, his skills cannot be overlooked. Additionally, Jackson has also showcased his talent in rushing, accumulating a remarkable 4,563 yards and 24 touchdowns from 728 carries.
This season, Jackson will have his weapons back by his side, including veteran RB Derrick Henry. Henry, a four-time Pro Bowl rusher, joined the Ravens at the start of the offseason. With his impressive record of 7,209 rushing yards and 68 TDs in the past five seasons, he is expected to greatly enhance the team’s offense. If Jackson and Henry quickly establish a strong connection, it could spell trouble for the rest of the league.
It is evident that Jackson should not be overlooked in this year’s MVP race, considering the fact that he had initial odds of +1400 to be named NFL MVP at the start of the 2023 season.
